Friday Night Welcome Party

Get to know your fellow OLX’ers and find your hosts!

Joint us at the historic St Columba’s church in the centre of Oxford where the fantastic Last Chance Ragtime band will be ready to get OLX started with a swing! We will be dancing in the Church itself – no pews, no pillars, just wall-to-wall wooden dance floor!!

There will be a dedicated Dance Annexe to chill out in and maybe a blues afterparty.

Saturday Night – Battle of the Bands

This is our main event! Slap on your smartest swinging gear for our fantabulous Saturday Night Lindy Ball.

Join us in the Oxford Union Debating chamber and set the floor on fire over an evening of incredible live music from Benoit Viellefon and his Orchestra and The Basin Street Brawlers in our second epic Battle of the Bands.

Doors will open for this amazing evening at 19:00 and you will want to be there in plenty of time…

Battle of the Bands

Benoit Viellefon and his Orchestra and The Basin Street Brawlers, these two Titans of Terpsichorean tunes are two of the finest swing orchestras in Europe and they’re ready for battle! Our Saturday night champions will be coming at you with over three hours of live music that’s certain to put a swing in your steps!

Late Dancing

The dancefloor will be hot until 01:00 so you you can Lindy till late with our fantastic DJs.

Saturday Late Night – Blues Hideaway

Follow the lamplight procession to our late night Blues Hideaway.

We have great venue with a sprung wooden dance floor, and cool music. There will be awesome live blues from the fantastic Dan Nash. We will have music until 04:00 so will be awake as long as you areWebsite Header 1

Sunday Afternoon – Last Hurrah!

Enjoy your tea, cake and ice cream back at Lindy HQ, and chill out ready for our final dance of the weekend.

We are back in the historic Debating Chamber of the Oxford Union with the amazing Down for the Count Swing Orchestra who are looking forward to swinging the Oxford Union down to its foundations! After making their Oxford debut in 2015,  DFTC played for in our memorable first battle of the bands in 2016.

The orchestra features many Lindy Hoppers, so they know how to play for dancers; we are certain that they will bring OLX 17 to a fitting finale.
