What do you love about swing dancing?
I absolutely love swing dancing—whether it’s Lindy Hop, Charleston, Collegiate Shag, or Solo Jazz. I dance as both a leader and a follower and am passionate about helping the scene grow in Oxford. (Part 1/2)
(Part 2/2) What first drew me to swing dancing was the incredibly welcoming and encouraging community, which made me feel at home from day one. What I love most is the freedom to be silly, have fun, and connect with others without words on the dance floor.

What inspired you to start dancing?
I always was interested in dancing, and did a few ballroom courses, but eventually tried Lindy Hop, and got really into it.
Favourite Song:
My favourite song is a version of Things Ain’t What They Used To Be by Duke Ellington, which has a really great dynamic but fun and light energy to it, particularly the melody Sax, which is how I try to dance

What do you love about swing dancing?
(Answer is on the next slide!)
Swing dancing has been a big part of my life for the past 8 years—it’s my happy place. I thrive on the playful spontaneity and the creative connection between partners, whether I’m following, leading, or switching roles mid-dance. What I love the most is that there's no such thing as perfection, just endless possibilities.
